# ECHOES UPDATE BETA

## 5/24 - 5/28

## Important things to remember about this beta:

- **YOU MUST INCLUDE A LOG FILE AND A SAVE FILE WHEN REPORTING AN ISSUE.**  
**FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE REPORT NOT BEING REVIEWED.**
- This beta is for major co-op bugs and issues **only**. We’ll be collecting feedback and suggestions upon release.
  - GOOD TO REPORT - Reproducible crashes, disconnects, data corruption.
  - DO NOT REPORT - Texture errors, spelling errors, out of bounds, missing assets.
- No progress will carry over to the full launch.
- There is no support for this test, and there will be no updates to this build.
- This test is not covered under a NDA.
- Again: this is a beta. Not early access, Not a pre-download. Progress won’t carry over. Only partake in this event if you are interested in playing early and finding + reporting critical issues before we release to the world!

## KNOWN ISSUES

- Players may encounter a crash during Trial of Lingering Light when playing co-op
  - To fix - Play solo
- Adjusting graphic settings on Steam Deck repeatedly could cause settings to stop working
  - To fix - You can delete the full game, or delete the Wayfinder directory in AppData\Local\Wayfinder\Saved\Config
- Players may experience quick hitching the first time they encounter an enemy/encounter
  - To fix - Play the game! We use data to collect info on shaders to cache for full release
- Player data save can become corrupt if you quit the game or crash during traveling while on the quest “The Descent”
  - **There is no fix for this, you’ll have to delete the old data and start again**
- Equipping an Echo may not display correctly in the UI
  - To fix - Swap to another weapon or exit and re-enter the menu
- Reward Tower XP is lower than intended.
- Attempting to play the game with multiple controllers/input devices results in the game not responding to inputs
  - To fix - Remove additional controllers, flight sticks, fight sticks & plug in a single controller
- If the player clicks the ‘Sell’ button in the details panel on the right at vendors, the prompt popup will be displayed with debug text such as ‘Text Block’ and a spinning circle. This issue will not occur with stackable items such as spectra
  - To fix - None, but the player will still be able to sell the items and receive the correct gold amount as expected
- Awakening shows a max of 6 stars, when there are only 5
- Player may appear invisible when swapping to a character with no armor or persona equipped
  - To fix - Equip an armor item in each slot and equip a persona in the style menu
